I can’t write. How many times do these words come across? In your Sunday morning, your night at the weekend, or even on the edge of a hard day that you wanted so much to capture in a story and put it in your diary.
You just forget. That the “I can’t write” problem is, actually, a problem. A problem that can raise a question. A question that will start reasoning, examination, inquiry, and conclusion. All the things that if you put it on paper, you will have a strong and fascinating piece of writing.
Noted that you shouldn’t be worried about your methods of inquiry. we can always use the deep thinking method called procrastinating.
Be sure that we are not the only one with the “I can’t write” problems. The condition behind this problem will be different from one another, note that this condition alone provides a wide range of topics to explore. Some stuck by their snugging day and physical distress, some by their emotional condition, some just need more practice and some are just simply by the case of overthinking.
Do not waste your time to answer the question. It is not important to know why you have nothing on your mind, no idea, at the time, what to write. If you want to write, just take the pen and the notebook, or open your laptop, or everything you will write upon. And start writing.
Do not overthink. Just write. Do not stop when you are making mistakes. Your grammar, your vocab, your structure, is not important at this stage. The important thing now is to catch whatever cross on your mind. Don’t ever think that you will remember those brilliant ideas, those exquisite thoughts that came across your mind in the middle of the night, or on your boring time waiting for the train, or your girlfriend and her make up. you will forget them.
Just write it down. Whatever it is. You don’t know how great it could be. every thought is potential.
Now when we write, all we need is just writing, not editing. You will find your time, later, to do the editing. There are tons of articles out there that explain why we shouldn’t edit when we write.
Try now. If you don’t have everything in your mind right now, try to remember you last trip out of town. Or may the last conference you join, or the last meal you enjoy. Anything, you can make something out of anything. Be sure!
Yes, I’ve found that the ‘writing without thinking’ method often helps for when I’m blocked. Oftentimes it’s not that I can’t write, but that I’m judging my work too harshly.
Btw, hello neighbour (from Malaysia here)!

Thanks neighbor! Couldn’t agree more, and sometime the more we think, the less confidence we have. I say let it all out!
